The City

I live in Los Angeles somewhere right off the I-5.

We are 5 miles to Hollywood (although we hardly go unless we have out-of-town guests) and even closer to Griffith Park, the largest urban park in the U.S. Being pretty much smack dab in the middle of the hustle and bustle of one of the most illustrious and legendary cities on this side of the meridian gives us access to some fine entertainment, a taste of the decadent lifestyles of the rich and famous, and of course, the dreaded 5 MPH traffic.

But for all the times that we do drive down Melrose Ave. or walk the planks of Venice Beach, we spend equal—if not more—time in lesser known neighborhoods around the area like super hipster Silverlake (for all of their specialty coffeehouses and vegan eateries) and Downtown Pasadena (wine bars galore).

All told, we live in a fabulous city and couldn’t imagine being anywhere else right now than the place where its reputation precedes all that Los Angeles was, is, and will continue to be.
